I didn’t have a consistent yoga practice until I met Angela and starting attending her classes. Once I shared the yoga space with her for the first time I was hooked. Angela has a very calm approach to the way she teaches. Her classes are nothing short of amazing. Every class always brings something different and pushes me to keep improving. Angela is an inspiring women both on the mat and off, she has had positive effects on my life and I will always be grateful for the valuable lessons she has taught me and continues to teach me. – Kate
Yoga has been a life long love after taking my first class in my late teens. I’ve sought out yoga asana, meditation and breath work more intensely over the last fifteen years.
Yoga always helps me reconnect.
I stumbled upon yoga at 19 while studying at university in Sydney. Yoga has had a profound effect on my relationship to my body and mind, opening me up to the incredible gifts available to us, if we approach ourselves (and others) with love, intrigue and compassion. I continued my passion for yoga and undertook my first training in 2009 in Byron Bay. I have continued to train in various yoga styles completing a 500-hour teacher training and immersing myself in further yoga intensives and workshops, and personal growth work.
My warm and unpretentious style creates a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere where I endeavour to offer qualities of gracefulness, creativity and ease into my classes along with attention to alignment and safety, leaving you feeling nourished, relaxed and rejuvenated.
I am also a certified health and wellness coach who is passionate about living in alignment with my true desires, and encouraging others to do the same. She has a background in environmental sustainability, education and communications. www.natureglow.com.au
Learning and experiencing yoga is a ‘practice’. We do not need to obtain any level of success with yoga, except turn up and practice. I will always practice and integrate yoga in my life, and I hope to inspire others to do the same.
Injured or have restricted movement?
You may still be able to practice yoga if you have a current injury or are recovering from limited range of motion and so on. Often times physiotherapists and body workers suggest poses which are very similar to yoga asana (poses) and so these can be woven into class. I enjoy assisting people include specific movements into their practice to ensure they utilise their joint in the correct range of motion. Let me know if you have an injury or are working with a physio and have a series of movements that we can include for you. This also applies if you are obese or overweight.
I injured my own shoulder over fifteen ago and before I had surgery, it often sub-luxed (partially dislocated) in certain simple moves, even trikonasana (triangle pose), and took strict discipline and body awareness to stop this from occurring. Since the operation, I worked with yoga to lengthen the scar tissue and regain movement in the joint. I now work within my physical limitations but have been able to strengthen and gain confidence to use fully use my shoulder again. I love accommodating anyone with injury, illness or body challenge to my class. If you would like to chat with me prior to attending, please email me firstname.lastname@example.org
